Real Hen Parties: Bridal Shower Inspiration by Stephanie Dreams

Bridal showers are becoming more and more popular  in the UK and when we spotted the pretty Bridal Shower that lifestyle blogger, Stephanie Dreams threw for one of her friends, we could understand why.

In USA and Canada, a Bridal Shower and a Bachelorette Party are two entirely different things.  If you have seen one of our all time favourite films, Bridesmaids you will know what we are talking about. The Bridal Shower is traditionally an event where you literally shower the bride in gifts for her wedding day and married life.  This is normally in the form of a tea party or an equally classy day time event.  The bachelorette party is something entirely different!  Similar to our traditional hen party, the bachelorette party is all about dancing and partying with all of your girlfriends whether you stay at home or go somewhere a little bit more exotic.  It’s becoming more and more popular to have more than one hen party nowadays and they are normally along the same lines as the Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party, one more relaxed party for your family and friends and another that you might not invite your grandma to, shall we say.

Stephanie Dream’s Bridal Shower was certainly a classy affair and one that you could definitely invite family members to.  While her friend, Gemma’s fiancé was on his stag do, Steph and her friends decided to throw the prettiest of Bridal Showers complete with yummy cakes, games and lots of fun accessories.  They went for a garden party and by the photos it looked like the lucked out with the weather. Stephanie is a big fan of HenBox so we were delighted to see our hen do decorations and Vintage Hen Party Sash at this Bridal Shower. We hope this inspires you if you are planning a hen party. It sure inspired us.
