Real Hen Party: Tough Mudder

Tough Mudder is a 12 mile obstacle course designed to test strength, teamwork and mental grit. Our brave and sporty hens decided that that tackling the Tough Mudder obstacle course was the perfect way to celebrate their friend’s up and coming wedding. Up at 5.30 am to drive to Winchester, these feisty hens raced successfully for over 3.5 hours through the course’s 26 obstacles. They tackled a run through 1000 live electric wires, swam under obstacles immersed in icy water, climbed a 12ft wall and ran up giant half pipes.

In the words of the bride, “who said brides-to-be were delicate flowers? Certainly not us! After 12 miles of crazy fun obstacles, laughters and camaraderie, I felt truly ready for the bigger jump”.

Its a world away from the traditional hen party and we love it.

They loved it so much they even wrote a poem especially for their bride to be!

Over walls and under tyres, through tunnels we went and around electric wires!

Mud in mouth and sweat on brow, obstacle followed obstacle and I’m not sure how.

We made it through and crossed the line feeling proud and oh so fine!

The busty bride shone with glee as we waded through slime and down on one knee.

We crawled under barbed wire and up slippery slopes, it was not the normal way to learn the ropes,

Before saying I do to a brand new life, a partner in crime and becoming a wife!

After tackling the Tough Mudder and well and truly winning, our feisty hens headed back to London ready for a night out in Clapham. Once de-mudded these ladies looked truly glamorous rocking their Tough Mudder headbands!
