Planning a wedding is FUN but there are parts of it that make you want to pull your hair out. When it gets to the point where it gets overwhelming I like to take a moment, have a ginger tea and read one of my favourite wedding blogs.
Wedding blogs have been a brilliant source of inspiration. Plus they offer so many great money saving tips and DIYs which I have found invaluable. We thought you may find it helpful if we listed out our Top Five Wedding Blogs to help you plan your special day (just as a side note this list could have been a LOT longer- there are so many more fantastic wedding blogs out there).
We are serious RMW fangirls here at HenBox HQ. The blog features some of the most picture perfect real life weddings which should help inspire you when deciding the feel and look of your big day. However it is their Ask The Experts feature which will really help you nail the wedding planning with top tips and helpful videos from bona fide wedding gurus on everything from hair and make up to catering and guest lists.
100 Layer Cake is a blog institution and if you have not discovered it yet you need to get reading it right now. They share my passion for all things metallic in a big way and I have discovered some great ways of integrating both gold and glitter into my wedding day through their awesome DIYS and their incredibly helpful ‘Color Stories’ feature.
The first thing you notice on the Wedding Sparrow is the blog’s stunning photography of both real weddings and their own styled shoots. The creators of the blog are huge fans and promoters of film photography and this has influenced the whole aesthetic of the blog and its content. Wedding Sparrow recently won the award for Best Wedding Blog at the UK Blog Awards 2014 reflecting the blog’s impressive offering of gorgeous wedding shoots, style advice and creative DIYs. A must read for any creatively inclined bride to be.
Rock n Roll Bride is hands down the coolest wedding blog on the internet. Fact. The Rock n Roll Bride is focused on providing inspiration to couples who want their individuality and creativity to shine through on their wedding day. It is a must read for anyone who feels that they can’t find the inspiration they need in the mainstream wedding magazines or are looking for some truly alternative tips for their big day.
Whimsical Wonderland Weddings, aside from having the most adorable name, is a beautiful wedding blog featuring some stunning real life weddings. I am a particular fan of the Bride Diaries posts which feature regular updates from real life brides who are planning their big days- their brides to be are full of helpful ideas and advice.
