How To Choose Your Hen Do Theme

A few questions to ask yourself before you get started. Ask your bride to be these questions, to give you an idea of the type of theme she is looking for.

1. What time of year is the hen party?

Think about the time of year! If your hen party is in spring or summer, you could go for a summer festival theme or a floral theme. If it’s in winter, you may want to go for a gold or monochrome colour scheme.

2. What’s the hen party budget?

Think about whether there is enough budget to have a fancy dress theme. If the bride to be wants fancy dress, think about booking less activities. Getting dressed up is almost like an activity in itself. And you’ll be surprised at how much of an ice breaker it is.

3. Does your bride to be shudder at the idea of a pink fluffy hen party?

If you bride to be hates the idea of having a tacky hen party or if she even considered not having a hen party at all, there are alternatives. Instead of all the fuss that can come along with themes, host a low key hen party with a simple colour scheme.

4. Does she want a full blown theme complete with fancy dress? Or does she just want a nod to a theme with some subtle decorations and accessories?

If she wants to have a full blown theme complete with costumes, make sure you tell your guests early on so that they can make or find their costume in time.
